Mike Deeter is the founder of 75th Ranger Regiment Altitude Project. He is an avid mountaineer and former US Army Ranger that served with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
After finishing high school, Mike enlisted in the United States Army, where he spent five years with the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
After leaving the military, he pursued a degree as a Physician Assistant and has had a career in medicine that has focused on urgent care, emergency medicine, and trauma surgery.
He is an active member of the Wilderness Medicine Society and is currently a candidate for a Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.
When not treating patients in clinic Mike’s time is spent mountaineering, writing, and taking photos of his adventures.
He established the 75th Ranger Regiment Altitude Project as a way of combining these passions to give back to the veteran community by keeping his fallen brothers names alive.
Above all else he is a father and husband and believes in leading by example.
