The Objective

This objective was conducted in honor of, and to keep alive the memories of, SFC David L. McDowell, SGT Joshua P. Rodgers, and SGT Cameron H. Thomas.

SFC David L. McDowell was on his seventh combat deployment when wounded by enemy fire during combat operations in Afghanistan. He later succumbed to those wounds on 29 April 2008. He was a Ranger Platoon Sergeant assigned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment when he made the ultimate sacrifice. 

SGT Joshua P. Rodgers was on his third combat deployment when KIA on 27 April 2017 during combat operations in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. He was a Ranger Team Leader assigned to Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment when he made the ultimate sacrifice.

SGT Cameron H. Thomas was also on his third combat deployment when KIA on 27 April 2017 during combat operations in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. He was a Sniper assigned to Delta Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment when he made the ultimate sacrifice.
